Hi All! I'd like to buy a 3d prinmter, my first one, to make some shoe components, but it's sooo difficult choosing! Then I ask for your help.
Here what I need:
- Printing a lot of different materials, including TPU, Polycarbonate, Wood, Ceramics, Nylon, Nylon/carbon...
- Printing size at least 370x300 mm. Height on Z is not really important, 200 mm is enough!
- Great resolution // Speed is not important for me!
- Possibility to use double extruder or laser engraver
- I can buld a kit, no problem!
Currently I am looking:
- Creality CR-10 https://www.gearbest.com/3d-printers-3d ... 41281.html
- Folger Tech FT-5 R2 https://folgertech.com/products/folger- ... rinter-kit
- Formbot t-rex http://www.formbot3d.com/formbot-big-sc ... p0017.html (moooolto più costosa.Come mai?)
- Tevo Black Widow https://tevo3dprinterstore.com/products/coming-soon
- HE3D H500 https://www.gearbest.com/3d-printers-3d ... 48114.html

Re: Which Large 3d Printer?
The FT-5 is a complete kit and takes quite some time to assemble, tune and print....and many have issues with it's reliability (me!) There's also power supplies that like to go POOF and honestly, I would have some great pause letting it print un-attended.
The CR-10 works quite well once you take the time to calibrate it.
Recall, all of these YouTube reviews essentially show how easy it is to put together and print...but there's a bit more to it.
I don't know the rest of those printers.

Re: Which Large 3d Printer?
I'd stick with the CR-10. Both my son and I have been printing quite well with ours (although his only stops long enough to remove the previous print and change filament).
I should note that he lives 250 miles away and has the CR-10. I have the CR-10S (dual Z axis steppers and filament sensor). Leveling it is easy (very easy if you print the replacement wheels). I did have to replace my glass as it was warped ($10 for a package of 6 12" mirrors at Home Depot - not bad). ~30% of the issues I have heard about are the glass being warped.

Great! Did you ever tested with materilas like Nylon or Polycarbonate?

Re: Which Large 3d Printer?
The specs on the CR-10 print head show it can't handle those higher temps with the stock nozzle ("Nozzle temperature: below 250 Deg.C in normal state, max. 270 Deg.C" but I really think you'd burn out the PTFE liner and make a big mess)
I know many people upgrade to an E3Dv6 among other upgrades to do those exotic filaments

Re: Which Large 3d Printer?
I have the cr10 max, quite satisfied.
leveling with a bltouch v3, filament sensor and 450x450, so large.
Disadvantages, in the tuning no flow setting only temperature and speed. max 250 ° / 110 °, abs are good but not higher. you also have to replace the firmware if you place a different printhead, I have the hemera of 3d here but I am not happy to place it. It is therefore difficult to extrude flexible filament from Bowden. I am used to working with marlin with all the institutions there, then the setting options are disappointing. Other firmware is therefore necessary.

Does that have the touch screen?
I've seen some China printers with touch screen displays that tend to lock up. That's a concern I would have
I also junk any and all filament sensors. Just make sure you have enough filament! (I've seen too many 48 hour + prints fail due to a false reading on the sensor)

Yes touchscreen work for now fine , autobedleveling give a nice overview
