Nudee: One bridge too far?

Post by Blizz »

So firebox now offers what they call a Nudee.
Basically they scan your face and print you a (nearly) nude figurine in the body style you prefer.

What do you guys think, given that you have to pay €194 for that?

Not sure exactly why one would order such thing, but if anyone want to pay €194 for their head on someone else's body, why not.

I suppose you have seen the body scan this woman did by the way (practically naked, in case you don't want to see that don't follow the link  ): http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:961487
Kind of the same thing somehow, even though the body appears to actually have been modified in reality this case :-?

Saw it... Not really into those big... well euh.. whatever

No here you pick the body style, they only scan your face. As you can see from the image it's 3 times the same female and male face.

Chondrosis of the cervical spine and back pain. Why do some people go to such extremes? :-?

I'm actually surprised it took so long. When UM was still building a scanner, I explicitly added scanning "other" body parts as a use case...

Well, both the model and the prints have something in common: They're mostly made of plastic :P

Hey, this is a 3D printing forum - everybody here should like things that are made from plastic :-)
