Thank you for having me

Post by tuckersteve »

Thank you so much for having me and future help! I just picked up my first printer a Mars 2 Pro. on clearance from their website for $185 free shipping, I couldn't pass it up to get started. I have a couple of questions. 1. I don't have a UV light yet, what is a normal curing time in the sun? the variables are I am using Anycubic water cleanable resin and I live in Oklahoma and the temp is 90-100 degrees F. 2. I see so many incredible files that are set up for FLA printers, is there a crash course to convert to resin printing? Total NOOB question I'm sure.
Thank you so much

Welcome to the forum.
I live in southern Spain and leave my prints out a couple of hours.
I have left prints out for days to see if they would give the prints problem but they seems to be OK.
For small parts I put them in a jar of water before putting in the sunlight.
I have never tried the water cleanable resin, let me know how you get on with it.
Look at some youtube videos for resin printing.
3 main problems that new people have:
1. setting the top plattern to home.
2. Supports, a bit of a black art until you get used to them.
3. coring the part out so it's not solid, don't forget the drain holes top & bottom.

Enjoy.
