3D printing a round 40mm ball

Post by lambomets »

Hello,
I tried to print a 40mm ball using breakaway material as the base and ABS as the main material on an ultimaker machine. However, it was not possible to make the ball round, the bottom part of the ball always had major imperfections. Is there a way to print a completely round ball?

Is ABS required?
I've done some round prints and the portion touching the support can be a challenge. Did you try using Tree supports?
