How to create 3d model buildings from pictures
Hey there. New to this forum and 3d printing. I'm working on a model railroad that models my home state. I'm looking to model specific buildings that I can print. Can I get some suggestions on what programs would help me accomplish this goal?

Free CAD programs like blender, fusion 360, On shape, Freecad, Tinckercad.
Some are easier to use than others, the more powerful the harder they are to master.
Start with say Tinkercad as I've heard it easy to pick up.

Sketchup has an excellent feature to let you set the perspective lines onto a photograph and then produce the solid model from that. You then need to hollow out bits of it, perhaps repeat the process with the roof to get that as a separate object.
Sketchup is free, and also is very good at exporting stl files for D-printing.
