Controlling linear axes with Nema 23 stepper motors via S7 1200

Hi everyone,
I want to use electric linear axes from Igus with Nema23 stepper motors (https://www.oyostepper.com/category-7-b ... Motor.html) 24v, via one of the S7 1200 DC DC DC variants.
Is there a way to do this directly, or do I need an intermediate motor controller.
If yes: Any suggestions for the mentioned engine? And how is it connected?
If no: How should the connection of the motor to the PLC be?
