What are you printing with the M6 bolt?

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
lol...That just indicates the nozzle currently installed in the printer
If someone feels like modelling a plastic nozzle with M6 thread (so I can print it in red or so) I'd be happy to replace my low tech solution for that

Awesome, I do think it should be pointy or so, instead of just a plastic bolt, but it's an improvement already!

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
I did choose to not make it too pointy so it would be easy to print using that face as a base, but i could easily make it the same point as a nozzle
Uploaded a "pointier" version for you now: https://www.youmagine.com/designs/nozzle-plug

Yeah I figured you kept a flat side for platform adhesion, But still, a little point is cooler imo
It's perfect like that.

I saw the first photo elsewhere earlier today
Sadly we don't get to meet many celebs over here. But I met "Biggs" and "Gimli" last year at a local SciFi event.
I also saw some of the things you produced on your CNC, nice work!

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
After a few relaxing days in Thailand I am back at work and very busy again.
Talking about nozzles, it is total chaos where I store my nozzles, I really have to do something about that urgently.
Last time I cleaned the floor it sounded like a metal object went into the vacuum cleaner and I have no idea if that might have been a ruby nozzle
We went to IKEA yesterday to buy some furniture that I planned to use for storing filaments and related printer components.
After a few hours of furniture building at home I had to agree with my wife that we needed more space to store cloths though, so the printer accessory storage situation remains unsolved

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Well the first is Verne Troyer from the Austin Powers films
2ft 7 inches tall ! Very, very funny guy! We had a great 45 minute chat. He wanted to do a YouTube video with R2-D2. In exchange he'd do a photo with R2 and I (the celebs charge $40-$50 for an autograph/photo op at these cons).
The second is with Denise Crosby, from Star Trek: The Next Generation (Tasha Yar) fame...she has also been in The Walking Dead.
Funny story....I met her early Saturday and she came over to see R2-D2. After Saturday wrapped up I went to the grocery store a mile away. It was packed, so I decided to just drive through the parking lot and leave. I figured I would hit another store on the way home. As I was approaching the exit, I saw Denise, in a very thin coat with two bags of groceries. It was very windy and cold out. She was not dressed for the weather at all! So...I pull up beside her and waved to her. She recognized me from the Con and I asked her if she would like a ride to her hotel. She accepted and got in, laughing about getting into a van with a stranger! She explained the airline flight didn't serve any food and she had only had snacks all day. I pulled up to the hotel and we decided a selfie was in order! What a funny experience!
And then that little girl was among the many kids that stopped for photos with R2-D2. Some were shy, some insisted on knowing how I put it together! It was really a wonderful experience to watch kids...of all ages...approach an R2-D2 and see the reaction!

A lot was going on at work in the last couple of weeks... so not much in the 3D World for me...
Just saw this article, took me by surprise:

... not sure how I feel about that

Someone posted that on the Ultimaker forum last month. Apple sells them there but not in the USA, from what I could tell.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
I really love those guys at ColorFabb... They tweeted this morning that all orders now get a sample bag nGen filament. So I replied
I just placed a fairly large order with them last month.
About 5 minutes later I had a DM from their sales telling me they were going to mail be a bag. Just DM'ed them back to say that would be awesome and it turns out it was already mailed
