Okay, time for science porn then
Sample growth lab: (sorry about the quality, there is simply too little light in the labs) Magneto optic lab: There are more labs, but those two are easiest to capture in a photo.
We just placed an order for a Form 2 printer today by the way, so there will be more fun stuff going on at work soon

Copper gaskets for vacuum systems.
You normally only use them once, so we have piles of them and people tend to use them for all sorts of things

In our area ST is not especially popular, but SW have a lot of their loyal fans.
What about Babylon 5 or, hmm, Lexx?

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
I have seen some of Babylon 5, but it never stuck with me. Lexx, never heard of it.
SW has always been special...Ep.4-6, and now also 7 (a trilogy with 4 episodes ). Ep.1-3 I haven't seen. But my son want's to so I guess I will soon. I'm just glad he got to see 4-6 before 7...and before 1-3.
I like ST too...the old original ones and the recent ones with Picard. But I haven't (yet) seen the "rebooted" ones. I'm saving that for movie evenings with my son(s)

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Oh yes, I am a science fiction fan.
Since building R2-D2 I have made friends with many people who work in the movies, making the props and costumes.
I have one completed R2-D2, which I continue to upgrade...the second one is sitting in the basement, waiting for me to complete it.
The second one has shoulder actuators and a center leg mechanism, which I feel is too slow (1 inch per second) So...still sorting that project out. I have all the other pieces, I just need to dedicate some time to see it through.
I am looking forward to the next Trek film...and Star Wars...and Captain America!

Hmmm, you guys have any experience with your glass bed getting chips out of it? I only print with PLA and just noticed there's a chip out of the glass!

uuuh... no, never had that. I also only print pla. I have seen instances of ABS / NinjaFlex (other material) to have such an effect, but never PLA...Titus wrote:Hmmm, you guys have any experience with your glass bed getting chips out of it? Never had, but seen it happen. In most cases it is when you try to take your model while the bed i still warm, it sticks so well that you can take a chip of glass with it...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
So the first time I was using UM filament(which I won):
Maybe not entirely fair, pulled out my PFTE, yikes! That wasn't looking so bad last time
I wonder if the clog did that or the other way around(more likely )
