That looks more than just 45 degrees to me. Check the support settings. If you don't want supports there increase the angle to the same you used on old cura.

I never had to mess with them in the old Cura. The software should be smart enough to know better

May I ask why 45° is more realistic than 60°?

@LePaul: Obviously not the whole ring is lying on the bed. That's where the support comes from. Question is: is it an overhang or just a step which disappears in layer 2? For the latter you could sink it into the bed with legacy Cura by maybe half a layer thickness. You can also sink it into the bed with the new Cura but you definitively have to use the Force to know when it is at the right position as it only can be done manually without display and not with a value entered.

I think that because even with one perimeter line, if you do 45degrees, you always have half of the filament supported in the middle, not just hanging outside. That's why I think 45degrees it's more realistic. Ofc with fan/speed/adjustments you can do much more than 60 degrees.

Ok so not a Cura update but a firmware update, I would love to see an Atomic pull option under advanced maintenance.
Where we could set up and adjust the maximum temperature and set the minimum temperature, then it would be a case of select automic pull it would heat up, then when ready press to reduce the dial to automatically reduce the temperature to the preset, then a repeat or finish.
It would save a lot of rotating up and down on the dial

I'd like to give Cura some credit...

The 9.8 hour prints are coming out very nicely (now that auto scale is off....but that's another thread!)

One thing I struggle with is removing the support material. Most of it comes off easily but others...well, not so much And it's easy to cut yourself trying to pry some portions of it away with the scraper.

Have any of you gents used the other support options? What's worked well for you? ZigZag is the default and seems tough to remove
My print that generates a lot to remove!

Concentric, lines or zigzag are a lot easier to remove than grid or triangle.
At least withe the first 3 you can easily prise away a bit at a time.

Lines are the best option. But only at a slow speed of print.

It would be nice that if after so many layers ( user select the number of layers between bracing) that a cross layer could be performed to help brace the lines etc, otherwise they can tend to break on taller prints.
