Re. the fan shroud, if you want a quick solution (not the perfect one, but at least as good as the stock one):
- If you have an old UMO (head screws going through the base plate):
this one is a copy of the original one, just 'compress it' in Cura to fit the height.
- If you have an newer UMO with the metal fan:
this one is a copy of the original (not covering the heater though).
Both are easy to print and are drop-in replacement for the original. At least it can help you to print something better after that

In Cura how much should the height be brought down, I wonder.....and how should this be printed on the bed? Sideways?
Might be fun to use the CF on

The first one, 15mm (only resize on Z of course

)
In PLA it prints without support, as is (flat) -- Upper corner won't be very nice, but it works; mine is
here
The second one has the right size, need supports (for the front part) and preferably not in PLA as the 'nose' comes close the heater bloc.

Well I tried it again with support material. That was a waste of time. I don't know if it's the retractions off or what but the support areas don't stay put and wind up being blobs.
It's moments like these I just want a real printer like an Ultimaker 2 lol
I feel like I wasted a few hours tonight. Here's where a quit with supports that just wouldn't support anything but more blobs. As Amadee stated the first one is ugly but usable.

I don't know about cfxt but carbonfill can't bridge at all. But can do very nice 70 degrees overhangs. I posted all on the fancap info on ultimaker

I increasse the infill overlap to 20% (I use 25% but it makes more carbon around the nozzle) to avoid that gaps you have between the top infill and the circles of the screws.
Lepaul if you do read the post for dualfancap you might avoid all the troubles all together... The part about settings at least will give you a starting point.

Yeah, it stated the overhang angle and the infill overlap I thought, I included those in the settings too.

What's weird is the bottom part was fine but then it started doing these retractions in the middle that caused blobs...and while what I have is usable, I'm a bit disappointed it went to crap

250-252 seems to be the happy range on mine. Good tip on using some old PLA to clean the nozzle up.
I did make the retraction and comb changes. And the first few layers went on really really nice.

That's how mine came out too, nice tip at the end showing the whole thing got clean!
