I've just had to order a new X-axis motor, it had problems with homing.
Stripping both axis motors out the X-axis motor was really stiff, striped it apart and there were a few partials in their but after a good clean out it was running a bit easier, but not quite as free as the Y-axis motor, so I've ordered a replacement and I swap out and keep the old one as a spare.
Oh and I think I've broken Carl's Ruby nozzle, when I stripped down the head, the inner sleeve in mine came out

Well the kitten is home now. Her name is Molly and 13 weeks old.
She has a room all to herself (mine) and will spend a few days in there, adjusting to her new home.
She was initially very snuggly when I first brought her home, especially after she ate. But there's so much for her to take in!
It has been many years since I have had a tiny kitten, so I forgot how scared they are the first day or so. She slept with me all night, but if i pet her, she would hiss at me. When I left for work this morning, she had taken refuge inside the [covered] litter box. I've seen that before when i volunteered at the shelter. That's what they do when frightened and learning to adapt. (And how frustrating, when all you want to do is hold them and make them feel loved! But...slow steps)
My elder cat is doing very well. I placed the towel from Molly's cat carrier onto the floor so she could become familiar with her scent. She sits at the bedroom door, investigating the new arrival. As all the vet websites say, it will be a few days before we do any introductions.

Lovely photo,
What I do when introducing a new cat is to put a little johnsons baby powder on the all so they all have the same base smell.
Another trick I use when gaining the trust of a frightened cat is to always have a little chicken in the hand as a treat that way they always see the hand as something good, I also volunteer at a cat shelter

I do have treats for her, my elder cat likes them too.
I usually leave some dry food out for her...but have put that away and gone back to wet food at morning and night (with a little dry in her bowl each time)...this way we can eventually work towards meals together with the kitten in a few days.

Well after working both my full time and part time job yesterday, the kitten was quite happy to see me.
No longer scared at all. After having some food, she was climbing all over me, wanting to cuddle up and sleep.
We're making good progress. My elder cat isn't stressed at all, but rather very interested to meet her. The kitten can't wait to explore the house. Tonight they'll trade places for a while and do that.

What have you guys been up to?
Today, students are moving back in on the University campus I work at. Classes start Monday.
The new kitten is adjusting. As am I. She flies around like a rocket, plays with her toys, gets into everything...not allowed in the basement yet, so the Ultimaker is safe! Then she runs out of energy and insists I am the best place to take a nap. Neck, shoulder, lap...doesn't matter...she's attached to me.
She knows the other cat will entertain her so long as she doesn't get closer than a few inches...yet they insist on doing the nose rub and sniff. The elder cat hisses, the kitten sits down immediately. She knows who the boss is.

Had a busy few day maintance on the UM2,
My X-axis motor needed replacing and as my LEDs were a bit dull I replaced them as well, turned them on it turns out they weren't dull they were very very dull, the new ones are very bright
And this evening I fitted the Bondtech feeder
All set up and seems to work well, although the retractions are noisier than previous, I was running Roberts feeder and this is more noticeable on retraction.
My better half has given me permission to get the Matchless head for my birthday in October and so I think I will need to make up a label for my printer, what do you guys think to the
"Ultimaker>2"

Slowly getting back into working pace again...
But in 9 hours, after 5 hours sleep, we are going to an airplane exhibition/show to celebrate the Swedish Airforce's 90th anniversary
Lots of interesting planes, both Swedish and foreign, old and new.
@LePaul In less than 2 months a new kitten comes here too (our third). I just hope I don't have to dismantle our sofa again like I had to do with the first kitten

Loooong day, maaaany flying machines, muuuuch tired...
Our "new" HKP 16 (the "Black Hawk") is a pretty impressive helicopter, especially in big formations
But at the end of the day...our old J35 is still the best sounding, and looking jet airplane
