Utrecht is not very far, but I am just just back from the US, so not keen to drive today...

Soooo... And then this happened.
It's like with some kids: Leave them alone for 5 minutes and everything is kaputt!

You know the drill...

Heat to 110-120 for the big parts and then 90 for the parts near the nozzle/block

Do an atomic and check If the steel coupler it's fully in. Then you need to screw the 4 long screws using a guide of plastic that comes with the maintenance kit, or just tight them by eye (quite hard without knowing the correct distance) to keep all close and without future leaks.

https://ultimaker.com/en/resources/2218 ... fm-coupler

Check the step 2. The plastic peace it's like 2€ at ultimaker resellers.

Started out that way yes :)
Left it alone for too long and then it started dumping the filament in the head instead of on the plate :)

And yes 110º is what I used to get most of the stuff off :)
Not perfect but it'll do.

So no leak? Just a print that turned evil?

I'm curious how my refurb UM2 will look...come to think of it, I wonder if I will get any free filament :) (Unlikely...)

I'm looking forward to learning the UM2 for a little while, then doing the UM2+ Extruder upgrade on it.

I would really try to avoid that route. Um2+ fixes 100% of the annoyances that um2 could have, specifically feeder, hotend, heater, bed clips.

...avoid trouble, upgrade immediately? Not a bad idea.

In your case, they will send a 92% scale model...

I would also recommend to do the upgrade immediately as hotend and feeder had really improved.
