@LePaul: IMO, this falls under the heading of 'Don't sweat the petty things (and don't pet the sweaty things)' category. SSL only protects the data transmission, not the data storage. Personally, I'm not worried if someone hacks my account here. Worst case, they start posting how great the M3D is in my name (shudder).

Ha!

Looks like the email notification needs fixing...clicking the link doesn't work right....it's missing a "/" between the domain and Viewtopic. Ahhh! More fixing.

Dim3nsioneer is right. LetsEncrypt provides TLS certs for free and is easy to integrate into an Apache. There is no excuse anymore to not use it :-)

Unless you don't have access to the Apache Server where you're hosting the forum...

If you're using the same password "everywhere" on the internet, then there is no hope for you anyways :)

There is a reputable software company whose name shall not be stated here which provides its expensive licenses via web-account. Upon registering, you get an E-Mail that contains the full account name and password *facepalm*. Of course, if you then change the password, you get a new E-Mail.

And then you tell them that they store the passwords plain text because you just got a plain text password email, and they deny it....

Anyone able to access Ultimakers forum? For the past days I always get "504 Gateway Time-out"...the only way I can access it is by using a different browser where I am not logged in. But then I can't post...and report the problem...
I mentioned it on Twitter to Ultimaker a week ago when it was still intermittent...and they only told me to be logged out, that would "solve" the access problem...

Thanks...and now when I clicked on your link @Titus I could access their forum :)
Either they fixed something or it's my lucky day...maybe I should by a lottery ticker :D

It's sad how awful slow that site is

I wonder how much business it has cost them. I mean, many people will research an item, their support pages and so on prior to purchasing. If the support forums load like crap.... ?

Hi all, my first post here :-D
Good to see a lot of friends from Ultimaker forum around! I'm visiting this forum for a long time and finally I'm in.

This week will be 3 years I have my Ultimaker 2. Cheers!

Thank you all!
Today I'm looking for some filaments... colorfabb has a 25% discount for black friday!
I'm looking to sell them for a long time, I think that it's a good opportunite, isn't it?

Is the Blueish White PLA/PHA a problematic colour? or the standard white? I will probably
bring a pack value with a mix of 16 spoons... any color suggestion for PLA/PHA?

I haven't noticed any bad odors from any of the PLA filaments I use.

For my Ultimaker I use ColorFabb or Ultimaker brand. For my FT-5 and CR-10, I like Hatchbox (1.75mm)
