Hi All,
I am having trouble with the first few layers of a print on my Ender 3. As seen in the pics the first layer laid down fine then the second layer produced artifacts that I have not seen before. Can anyone help?
Using Cura; all setting are .28mm defaults. Fan off until 4th layer. PLA temps are 210C for nozzle and 60C for bed

Re: Artifacts on Second Layer
Well the first layer goes down slow, then the next layers at regular speed, right? That's usually my default.
But I usually have the first layer set to 100 percent at 0.20 (so all layers are 0.20)
Usually those waves and blobs can indicate you are too close or too warm. Given the first layer looks good, I'd ask if you have this material properly dialed in. Extruder esteps calibrated? Flow rate computed? Have you done a temperature tower to see what the sweet spot is for the print temp?
If you've already done it, great. If not, this is a great reference site:

What material is this? Brand? Dried?
I'll pause there for you to answer
