Stringing and underextrusion problems

Post by reibuehl »

Hi all,

my UM2 with Olson Block has developed a nasty issue in recent months: I have a combination of underextrusion and heavy stringing:

I first thought the nozzle was clogged or had some residue inside but even with a brand new nozzle the issue still persists. I have to bump up the extrusion amount to 105% to get halfway decent extrusion but still get a lot of stringing. I also checked the filament diameter and tried two different filament brands but nothing seems to fix the issue. Could this be an issue with other "consumables" in the printhead like the PTFE coupler or the bowden? If so, any idea which part is most likely the culprit?

Best regards,
Reiner

I'd check that but it could also be the bowden tube....I replaced mine and it helped!
