GEEETECH with 3d touch offset issue

I have a Geeetech A20M. i had a print come up off the bed and push my 3d touch out of alignment. Have not had a chance to work on it until this week (been sitting about a year.) i updated the GT2560 board firmware to 2.3.2 (has the 3d touch menus) when I do the offset where i sheet of paper drags under the nozzle and same the offset, it repeats fine. BUT when i try to print one of my saved files the print head is way to high like 1mm or more off the bed. i can stop the print and check the height by moving the z axis and it is at the correct height ( i also changed the nozzle (which is not as long/tall as the original)
Please help

info:
Marlin 1.1.18
GT2560 v4.1 firmware 2.3.2
Geeetech A20M

I enable baby stepping for just this reason.
When selecting a model to print baby steps allows me to move the nozzle into place while the skirt is printing.
The newer version of marlin have a feature called Z-Probe offset wizard this allow the offset to be fine tuned quickly before printing.

Thank you I will see about upgrading my marlin too then. I will have to look it up because i know i have to change a file so the information is correct for my printer. Any insight you can offer me to do the upgrade?

Post the errors that were displayed when you complied the firmware.

Interesting the preview is upside down but displays fine when clicked.

I commend you, I hate compiling firmware. I just haven't kept up with all the changes and software apps needed to compile and create the fw

got everything running. new/old issue. i set the offset for print height on the nozzle, but when i print it is to low to the bed. no matter what i make the offset the print head has to be manually raised during print start or its to low. also if (when in manual mode) when z is at 0.000 i can not move below that even though i am not at the hard/soft stop
