Just starting with Anycubic photon 4k and their bundled slicer software (Anycubic photon workshop). FreeCAD for design. The shape is a hollow cylinder (open at bottom during printing) that needs to be able to leak out the internal resin. During slicing there is an option to "punch" the model to prevent an air lock so the resin easily leaks out. But my models are small (about 15 x 10 mm) and I don't know how big a hole is made by the punch feature. Alternatively I can create a small hole near the top during the CAD design. That gives me control over its location and size.
Does anyone know how big the punch holes are (or need to be) and would you recommend pre-forming the hole in the design stage?

I use Prusa slicer for supports etc, then Chitubox to do the slicing. The software that comes with the printer is a bit basic.
They aren't hard to learn.
It depends on the model, for me it's a bit of a guess.
Could you share the model so I can see what you are tying to print.
I have done models without any holes, but it depends on the design.
I have always modelled the holes.
