i'm Trying out Sunlu Water-Based Resin. so far not bad but the print, after curing, is still a bit sticky, or at least not smooth.

anyone have tips or experience with this?

How long are you curing model, if a solid model do you have drain hole for excessive resin to drain out.

"Some printers lower the build platform into the tank, which traps resin."

Was told to water wash model after curing, using a very soft tooth brush to carefully clean model.
My nephew has used water soluble resin he who gave me this hint.

I use normal resin and clean with alcohol. I use an old toothbrush to clean the parts.
If they are not cleaned properly they can be sticky and shiny.
Make sure you clean then properly, with clean water.

This one i cured about 10 min outside in the sun. when that didn't work i put it under my UV lamp.

for sure. i usually use IPA based Resin, but i'm testing water based right now.

My nephew swears by his Anycubic Water-Based Resins has 3D Printed many models to perfection.

The only problem he experienced was when he forgot to make drain holes in a model that became messy.
Eventually that too was cleaned up.

Thanks for that. i'm printing right now overnight. hopefully it works out. my fear is that it's going to be tacky and shiny.

I live in Spain and I cure mine outside for at least half an hour. I've tested them a lot longer to see if it degrades the parts, the only problem I have found is clear goes a yellow colour if left in the sun too long.
For small parts I put them in a clear jar with water, that seems to work OK.

that's actually very helpful. Thanks. i'll try to cure a bit longer and see what i get

so. i let the print sit in Direct Sunlight for about an hour. Much much Better in terms of curing.

that said... this Sunlu Resin is So So in my book. it's still slightly tacky and way to shiny for the 6 inch Statues i'm making. i'll have to use it for other things.

Great suggestions.

In the past year I’ve printed up about 35 kg of SunLu water-based. The trick is to wash them in warm water with a brush and let them dry fully somewhere. Later I only cure for one minute with the UV. I’m using 1.3 exp. 1 sec light off, 63% master uv intensity, 2.5 mm @2 mm/sec slow lift then 4.5 @ 4mm/ sec fast lift.same for retract. This is for grey. Those are settings for the anycubics
