Nice that they are working on speeding things up!
I find myself rather annoyed by how slow the UM3 can be compared to the UM2 when using both printers side by side.

Some more functionality would be nice too, going back to the UM2 with the tinkergnome is such a relief.
The new active leveling takes less time by starting closer to the build plate.
I wonder if this means that the auto bed leveling is now incompatible with my new heater blocks, where the nozzle sits about 2.5 mm lower? :-?

Auto leveling was working nicely with the rubies by the way.

Intrigued, since I hadn't seen any non-Ultimaker nozzle packs supported?

Anders most probably the offset start on the new firmware is totally editable like most settings on it.

I designed a new heater block for the UM3 some time ago.
We want to print abrasive things with two materials and designing a new block was easier than making new ruby nozzles that fits the UM3-block.
The new block has a feature that reduces the stress on the heatbreak when changing nozzle, without that you would risk destroying the heat break when tightening the nozzle.

I was about to start at thread about it, but there are more people working in similar solutions and I wanted some input from them first.
