Strange concentric printing order

Post by Rueway1 »

G'day,

I am running Cura 5.71, and had the same issue in 5.11. When printing a solid base with concentric pattern I am getting a strange order in how it prints. See the screen shot attached. This is exactly how it prints. It increases the risk of a failed print due to it jumping around so much. There is no rhyme nor reason. It prints a single line, skips a few millimetres, prints another line, maybe runs some adjacent ones. Then jumps to another area, prints a line, then goes back and fills in half the middle .... and so on.

Anyone explain this behaviour and how to force it to just do a sequential progressive concentric print.

Printing PLA at the moment.

Cheers in advance.

I'd suggest submitting that to the Cura Github, they answer pretty quickly. Be sure to give them all the details and files needed.
